Are you crazy enough to consider starting your own business??

Updated: Jan 6, 2020

Hop on the crazy train - over 60% of people in the U.S. have considered starting their own business. I'm here to tell you, yes you CAN!

Rewind to 2003. I HATED my job. My hubby had received an offer for an amazing job out of state, and we had moved with so much excitement for what this opportunity would bring. It was a great time in our lives - leaning on each other and meeting new people...but man I HATED my job. We had always considered having our own business - we both have a crazy work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit. But it was that job that sparked the fire inside of me to do MORE. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if we had never moved? I likely would have stayed at the job I loved that I got right out of college. Some decisions in life are the ones that change our course forever. This was one of those decisions.

“Some decisions in life are the ones that change our course forever. This was one of those decisions.”

If I had a dollar for every "friend" that told me we were crazy and that this wouldn't work, I'd have a LOT of dollars! :) It's times like these you realize who your true friends are. If I've learned anything in life, its that someone else's success does NOT negate your own. I see so often the animosity people have towards others who have succeeded in their life by working hard and making the right choices, and it saddens me so much because if we all only realized that there is enough success out there for us all, we could really begin to uplift others! If you know that you're meant to follow a dream - there is nothing that should stop you. We are all capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for!

So, if you have that fire, that desire for more - I suggest to you that you fuel it. Study up on how to go about getting started, research the industry. I never let it go, and I am so thankful for that. One of the reasons we love our consulting division so much, is that we get to help cheer others on when they're ready to take that leap of faith into business ownership. It's one of our favorite things to do! If I have any advice, it's definitely "don't quit your daydream".

You've got this!
